Crawley STEMfest shows young people how interesting and fun the STEM subjects can be, through a series of activities (shows and workshops) that come right into your school, as well as site visits to local companies.
We are now offering site visits to the companies below, aimed at your older students. If you are interested in taking part please email crawleystemfest@brighton.ac.uk , subject line ‘site visits’, stating 1st and 2nd choice. Visits are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
Stonewater provide quality homes and services for people across England, including our current development in Crawley. Students are invited to see different trades on site at first hand and talk to our contractors and consultants, and learn about other related careers such as architects, surveyors, structural engineers (depending who is available). Access to different areas of the site will be determined by safety and the build programme on the day. All attendees must wear sturdy footwear ie. walking boots with ankle support. 1 hour / Max 15 students / Year 11-13
PwC are one of the largest multinational professional services firms in the world, and one of the Big 4 Auditors. Our in-office visits usually involve students finding out a little more about PwC and the work we do, employability sessions, and networking with current PwC staff (including our apprentices).

L-3 Link Simulation and Training produce civil aircraft Flight Simulators and Training Services for airlines all over the world. Our state of the art facility based in Crawley houses our UK head office and an 8 bay simulator hall, including A320 and B737 simulators. During your tour you will meet engineers and apprentices and see our amazing product first hand. 2nd, 9th or 16th June (1 school per day). 2 hours / Max 10 students / Year 10-13
Willmott Dixon are one of the biggest companies in the UK construction and property, working in both private and public sectors – over 90% of the population never more than a mile from a Willmott Dixon project! Students are invited to visit our 6500m2 new build for the South East Coast Ambulance Service, find out about what we do and meet those working on the project. PPE will be provided by the company. 1 hour / Max 30 students / all ages
